Over 2GW of CSP capacity was installed in Spain from 2006, however all renewable investment stopped quite suddenly a few years later. With the new 2050 decarbonization targets, Spain has pledged to invest heavily in renewables, including in deployment of 5,000MW of new CSP with storage capacity by 2030. In 2022, the Spanish government has confirmed a tender announcement specific for CSP of 200MW to work towards the renewable capacity objectives established in the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC).

This webinar will analyze the 200MW CSP tender in Spain and the opportunities of the market for CSP in the coming years:

  • Study the objectives, timelines, milestones as well as technical and economical parameters of the CSP tender in Spain to discover how to position your project for success
  • Consider the tariff level that will be reached in this tender for CSP projects, and what it will mean for the industry in Spain and worldwide
  • Hear about the type of projects that are going to be presented for the tender, what are the main developers and EPCs involved and how they are positioned for future tenders in the country
  • Analyze the opportunities for an international CSP renaissance as more variable renewable enter the grid and grid management
