Hydrogen hubs became a major potential recipient of funds through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) in 2021, with up to $8 billion pledged for 6 to 10 green hydrogen hubs across America.  The H2 hubs are supposed to be a central driver in helping communities across the country benefit from clean energy investment, good jobs and improved energy security.

However, with the announcement of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the need of hubs to make the economics of hydrogen work has been put into question, as a direct production tax credit is offered for each kg of clean hydrogen produced instead, making redundant the bureaucracy and collaboration required in a hub with a large number of companies.

In this webinar we analyze the opportunities that green hydrogen hubs offer to companies, producers, users and even local populations.

  • Discover how hydrogen hubs are accelerating growth by streamlining permitting process and decrease project and development costs
  • Strength in numbers: Hear how hubs are working to attract lenders and investors to invest in their projects
  • YIMBY – consider how working hand in hand with local populations puts hubs at an advantage when it comes to social and environmental considerations
  • Hear about the strategies of different green hydrogen hubs around the country to become regional industrial growth centers

 Speakers:

  • Oleksiy Tatarenko: Senior Principal at RMI
  • Abraham Mooney: Development Manager at Obsidian Renewables
  • Angelina Galiteva: Founder and Board President at Renewables 100 Policy Institute, Chair of the California Independent System Operator
  • Roxana Bekemohammadi:Executive Director [Moderator]

Attending RENMAD H2 USA will give you access to information that will help you become a leader in the US zero-carbon H2 industry:

  • Understand how the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)and other relevant regulations can dramatically improve your H2 project financials
  • Learn how to lower your LCOHsignificantly through technology and design so your zero-carbon hydrogen is competitive
  • Discover the keys to successfully developing and financing bankable renewable hydrogen projects
  • Find customersfor your zero-carbon hydrogen and HPAs for your production with both established and new users of hydrogen
  • Compare PEM, Alkaline, SOEC and AIM electrolyzertechnologies so you can procure the right technology for your project
  • Explore the zero-carbon H2 projectsbeing developed in the US and learn how to maximize the profitability of your project
  • Consider the latest developments in hydrogen storage and transportthat will allow you to supply industrial quantities of H2 to your customers throughout the country
  • Identify the business opportunities in manufacturing green ammonia, methanol and synthetic fuels from renewable H2
