In order to meet US clean energy targets, the Biden administration has set a portfolio of impressive goals determined to achieve decarbonization nationwide. Long duration energy storage (LDES) is playing a key role in decarbonizing our electric grids and supporting the rapid growth of renewable energy. The DOE’s Long Duration Storage Shot, which establishes a target to reduce the cost of grid-scale energy storage by 90% for systems that deliver 10+ hours of duration within the decade, is an accelerator for reaching those goals.

In order to see these goals succeed, a partnership was developed this year to boost the commercialization of long duration energy storage technologies. The key stakeholders of this partnership; the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Technology Transitions (OTT), the Edison Electric Institutes’ (EEI’s) Institute for the Energy Transition, EPRI, and the Long Duration Energy Storage Council, will highlight what’s needed and what’s next to get more LDES on the grid.

Join this webinar and learn how this strategic partnership can impact your project and optimize your performance by:

  • Listen from experts in the field how this partnership will boost LDES technologies in the US and beyond
  • Learn about decisions and policy recommendations that will shape the future of energy storage and support the development of domestic manufacturing
  • Explore the opportunities and benefits of deploying LDES and discussion of the diverse technologies available today

Speakers:

  • Julia Souder: CEO from Long Duration Energy Storage Council (LDES)
  • Anna Siefken: Senior advisor for the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT)
  • Emily Sanford Fisher: Executive Vice President, Clean Energy, and General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for the Edison Electric Institute (EEI)
  • Neva Espinoza: Energy Supply and Low-Caron Resources for Electric Power Research Insititute (EPRI)
  • Cristina Galán: Content & Event Manager [Moderator]

You’ll be able to learn more about how to bring long duration storage technologies to the market at RENMAD Storage USA 2023 (July 12 & 13,Las Vegas) – The event where you will meet leading energy storage players to exchange knowledge, network and do business.

By attending RENMAD Storage USA, you’ll have access to a wealth of knowledge to help you establish yourself as a leader in the energy storage industry:

  • Understand how the IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) legislation pack is a game changer for your storage project
  • Learn how to make your project bankable and get ahead of your competitors
  • Reduce your Levelized cost of storage (LCOS) with cost-effective strategies and optimize your CAPEX
  • Map the opportunities for rapid energy storage project deployment across US states and ISOs to focus on developing projects where you get the best ROI
  • Secure your NTP swiftly with top strategies for faster implementation of permitting requirements
  • Expand the lifecycle of your battery by learning key elements that will lengthen the use of the battery as well as protect it through warranty agreements and provide adaptability to a changing grid over the next 5 years
  • Understand the role of long-duration energy storage and how it can cater services to the grid by shifting storage technology requirements from short-term grid service to longer duration and seasonal storage
